If you’re keen to get out and enjoy the weather today then London is hosting the Arigato event – a series of Japanese culture-themed activities which is designed as a ‘Thank You’ to all those people and institutions that have supported and assisted Japan after the tragedy last year.

Arigato in London features a photo exhibition showing the reconstruction work in Japan, a sake bar produced by former national football player Hidetoshi Nakata, an En-nichi festival event where you can enjoy games such as ring toss and yo-yo fishing, a market with traditional crafts and special products from Japan, a Beer Terrace where Japanese food and beer will be served with a view of the River Thames, stage performances such as Japanese dance, shamisen, taiko, paper cutout, Ikebana, Shodo and Manga.

On July 31st the event will also stage a DJ Party courtesy of Pioneer. This collaboration stage of Music and Calligraphy will be performed by popular Japanese DJ Tsuyoshi Takashiro and calligraphy artist Koji Kakinuma.
