August brings the World Happiness 2012 event – featuring a line-up including J-pop princess Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and technopop pioneers Yellow Magic Orchestra.
World Happiness 2012 was originally conceived by YMO’s Yukihiro Takahashi as a Tokyo summer music festival. Running since 2008, this years festival sees the wonderful Kyary Pamyu Pamyu joining the performances alongside The Beatniks, Grapevine, Kaela Kimura, Yasuyuki Okamura, Original Love, Yu Sakai, Miu Sakamoto, Tokyo No. 1 Soul Set and also YMO headlining. Cornelius will also be joining YMO as support guitarist.
World Happiness 2012 takes place in Yumenoshima Park, Tokyo on the 12th August.
