BABYMETAL to release Blu-Ray/DVD Live Concert set

Metal trio to release live adventures

Everyone’s favourite Pop Metal Idol outfit BABYMETAL have announced the release of a special live Blu-Ray/DVD titled ‘LIVE ～LEGEND I, D, Z APOCALYPSE～’ featuring 3 the metal trio in action.

BABYMETAL came together in 2010 as a sub-unit of idol outfit Sakura Gakuin. Consisting of members MOAMETAL, SU-METAL and YUIMETAL, the BABYMETAL concept was a blending of J-Pop and Heavy Metal, leading to some interesting and unique songs and performances, encapsulated in the pv for ‘DOKI DOKI☆MORNING‘ in 2011.

Originally an independent outfit, BABYMETAL signed to the Toy’s Factory label and released their first major label single ‘Ijime Dame Zettai’ in January 2013. The single reached No. 6 in the Oricon charts and the trio followed it up with new release ‘Megitsune’ in June.

BABYMETAL have also proved popular as a live outfit and ‘LIVE ～LEGEND I, D, Z APOCALYPSE～’ features 3 of BABYMETAL’s concerts:
