HYPER JAPAN Party: FEMM, Shirobon and JPU Records

April sees the amazing FEMM arrive in the UK for a very special live performance.

In collaboration with Hyper Japan and JPU Records, this event will see FEMM (aka ‘Far East Mention Mannequins’) performing their unique form of electronic dancepop for a UK audience.

FEMM managed to achieve international recognition via songs such as ‘Kill the DJ’ and ‘Fxxk Boyz Get Money’. Signed to the Avex label, FEMM also signed a licensing deal with JPU Records who released a special combo pack featuring their 2014 debut album Femm-Isation and EP Pow!/L.C.S. in 2016.

Shirobon is a London-based electronic musician who started making music using a Nintendo Game Boy. In 2009 he took some time out to discover the world of modern production and came back into the scene in 2013 with his crossover EP Back Tracking. Shirobon now plays shows around the world and runs his record label ‘Hyperwave’.

J-Pop Go’s own PaulB will also be on DJ duties for the evening spinning a selection of J-Pop tunes.

Hyper Japan is the UK’s biggest Japanese cultural event which brings Japanese street food, live music, fashion, gaming, cosplay, traditional culture and much more. Their summer event is scheduled for 14th-16th July.

JPU Records is a UK-based record label that’s responsible for bringing over releases from the likes of Dempagumi.inc, BAND-MAID, SCANDAL, FEMM, the GazettE, SPYAIR and Aldious.
