perfumemagicWith PERFUME already planning to stage their UK debut in London next month, now news on their future plans and continuing global strategy has emerged today.

Following a live concert in the company of MAXIMUM THE HORMONE, our favourite Technopop trio announced that their next album titled LEVEL 3 will be released later this year. Apparently the album tracks have already been completed and an Autumn release is mooted. LEVEL 3 follows on from Perfume’s 2011 release JPN and will be their 4th studio album.

Meanwhile, Perfume’s back catalogue is joining JPN in being available globally via iTunes. This not only includes Perfume’s earlier albums but also their single releases. Making JPN available via iTunes in 2011 was a major decision by Perfume’s record label Universal Music Japan, particularly given the Japan music industry’s reluctance to embrace the digital download culture. Making this material available not only shows a positive step forward, but also means that J-Pop fans can obtain Perfume’s releases much more easily.

Meanwhile, Perfume’s catalogue of promo videos will be available via Perfume’s dedicated YouTube channel. This not only includes the visual treats of videos for releases such as Dream Fighter, Spring of Life, Spending All My Time and recent release Magic Of Love, but also selected live footage and other special videos.
Perfume’s live DVD catalogue is also being reissued on BluRay for the first time in Japan. This means that everything from Fan Service (Bitter) through to the JPN video will be available in High Definition.

Anyone unable to attend Perfume’s forthcoming London concert will also be able to join in as the trio will be staging screenings of the concert at selected cinemas worldwide care of Live Viewing Japan. At the moment the venues include Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore ,Los Angeles with more countries to be added.

The Los Angeles screening takes place at the Regal Cinema L.A. LIVE, Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, 7th July at 1:00pm. Live Viewing Japan will also extend a special invitation to 2013 Anime Expo attendees at the nearby Los Angeles Convention Center to catch the screening. More info here:

Perfume also announced new Dome concert dates at both Kyocera Dome Osaka (7th & 8th December) and also the prestigious Tokyo Dome (24th & 25th December), which means a Happy Christmas for Japanese Perfume fans.
