It's a little from column A, B and C. It was originally simply a J-Pop Disco, but we've been adding new ideas to some of the nights to make them a little more special.
The aim of the evening is to present a broad spectrum of Japanese popular music ranging from bubblegum girl pop outfits to the more rock-orientated alternative bands. We also feature anime and games theme music.
J-Pop Go happens on a semi-regular basis.
We've tried this out with a performance by Rie Fu and it was very successful. Expect other live acts at future J-Pop Go events.
Unfortunately due to the fact that the venue is serving alcohol on the premises, there is a strict age limit of 18+.
Cosplayers will indeed be welcome - if there's a costume you want to wear on the night then by all means do so.
We're always keen to hear from people who think they can contribute to the event in some capacity. Perhaps you've experience in DJ'ing yourself or you've an interest in writing about J-Pop. If so, then let us know.
J-Pop Go has spawned a dedicated J-Pop magazine. The magazine provides profiles, reviews, photos and information on the wide world of J-Pop.
