J-Pop Go is going back to school on Saturday April 1st...

Continuing our Saturday night residency at Cafe Manga, J-Pop Go will be studying very hard for our finals in April when we present our own take on the School Disco concept.

Date

Saturday 1st April
7:00pm to 1:00am

ADV will be using the event to launch the anime release of Cromartie High School - a thoroughly bonkers anime based on the popular manga and focussing on the deliquents, tough guys and losers who stalk the corridors of a school that gets a 'B' for bad. Cromartie High School can be viewed as the flipside of ADV's other hilarious school drama Azumanga Daioh with an equally crazy cast of characters.

With this in mind, the next J-Pop Go is aiming to do its own version of the popular School Disco events by staging the first Japanese School Disco. Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their favourite school uniforms for the event. If you can't, then you'll have to bring a letter from your parents excusing you. Anyone not having fun on the night will also face detention.

Expect an evening of fine tunes from our resident DJs DJ Kyukyusha and DJ Voxie as they play a variety of top J-Pop and J-Rock tunes throughout the night.

DRESS UP FOR APRIL!

As ever, J-Pop Go encourages its regulars to dress up for the evening so if the cosplay bug bites you then when not come along and show off for the night? As a bonus we'll offer reduced entry on the door for those cosplayers that have really made an effort ^_^

SUPPORT MIKA BOMB'S ERGI!

Ergi - the drummer for Mika Bomb became dreadfuly ill in December of last year with suspected meningitis. He was rushed to intensive care and was very critical over the Christmas period. Since then, Ergi has pulled through, although it will take some time for him to recover from such a terrible trauma.

We're staging the April J-Pop Go as a fund-raiser for Ergi and his family so your generous support would be appreciated!
